The Child Development Associates group is planning their annual fundraiser. This year, our event is entitled By the Light of the Silvery Moon, a tongue-in-cheek “campy-prom” themed dinner, dance, and auction event. This fun evening is expected to attract even more attendees than last year and will be held at the Holiday Inn in Long Beach. Please save the date of Saturday, April 12, 2008. Ticket information and invitations will be sent out in early March.

The monies raised will serve to strengthen our educational programs and better train teachers for the future. In the recent past, we have been able to purchase ride-on toys, window coverings, nap cots, dramatic play items and child-size furniture for the common areas. Our plans for the coming year include, drums and other “world” musical instruments and video cameras to document observations of the children.
