Pacific Coast Campus to Host Pres. Oakley and LBCC Family March 13
Please join us! Superintendent-President Oakley will be at the Pacific Coast Campus Thursday, March 13, noon -1 p.m. in Dyer Hall. He will discuss the Pacific Coast Campus, give a State of the College update, and a brief question/answer period. All students, faculty and classified staff are invited and encouraged to attend. Important Message from Risk Services
The Risk Services Department in conjunction with the Long Beach Police Department has prepared the attached guidelines regarding “On Campus Shootings.” Also included are the evacuation plans from the district's emergency preparedness plan. The maps referred to in the evacuation plan are posted at the entrances, elevators and stairwells of each building. A master book is on file in the Risk Services Office and will soon be posted on the intranet. The Emergency Operations plan is available for review on the intranet under "Administrative Services," select "Risk Services" and "Emergency and Safety Plans." Risk Service reminds you to remain alert and prepare yourself by taking a mental note on what you would do if this occurred in your classroom or office. Share these guidelines with your students and colleagues. Awareness and intervention can assist in the prevention of these unfortunate acts of violence. Accreditation Team Releases First Draft of Self-Study Report: Seeking Input

The college is undergoing its comprehensive self study for reaffirmation of its accreditation. At this time we are releasing a first draft of the self study report. While reviewing the draft, please focus your attention on the content of the report. We acknowledge that numerous edits (grammatical and technical) will be required before the final document is ready for submission to the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC). We are sending this early draft to the college community in order to allow sufficient time for your input and feedback...
