I’ve been donating to the LBCC Foundation since 1996 and now contribute monthly through payroll deduction for the Gateway to Greatness campaign.  As the scholarship secretary for several years as well as working in Financial Aid, I have seen first hand what an impact, emotionally and materially, financial assistance can have on a student and their ability to succeed and meet their goals.  

Long Beach City College’s commitment to encourage students through financial means by way of this and other programs is unequaled in the state, and I’m proud to count myself in the legions of past, present, and future graduates who have or will benefit from this commitment.  The Gateway to Greatness is just that, an aptly named opportunity for anyone to be a student’s “gateway to greatness.”
