CSULB Decides NOT to Accept Transfer Applications for Spring 2009

CSU Long Beach representatives have reported that they have decided NOT to accept any transfer applications for the Spring 2009 semester.  Typically they accept applications for Spring from August 1st to August 31st, so you may have many disappointed students this summer who were gearing up for this application period to Long Beach State.

Please begin to spread the word to your students.  Please remember that during these times universities are very likely to make seemingly drastic and untimely decisions to their admissions policies in order to control enrollment management.  Transfer Coordinator Ruben Page expects these types of decisions to continue and that it is very important to tell our students to be diligent and proactive in checking on admissions policies even after they leave their counseling appointments. Ruebn will try to give timely updates as he receives them and will post them on the LBCC Transfer website (transfer.lbcc.edu).  Students should constantly be checking university admissions homepages as well as the links below for application updates/changes.
