Long Beach City College will be coordinating their semesterly “Weeks of Welcome” for incoming and current students. We are encouraging academic departments and student support services to highlight their programs and services by participating in one of the resource fairs, campus welcome picnic or coordinating an open house, program, or activity as part of Weeks of Welcome. If you would like to highlight your activity in the LBCC Weeks of Welcome activities to be promoted campus wide, please contact Sabrina Sanders, Counseling & Student Support Services at ssanders@lbcc.edu or X4254. We are also asking all colleagues to wear "LBCC Gear" (t-shirts, etc.) the first week of classes, beginning August 18!

The Presidents’ Welcome Picnic and Resource Fairs will be:
Tuesday, August 19th 10am-1pm at LAC, in front of Building A, facing Carson Street.
Thursday, August 21st 10am-1pm at PCC, in front of Student Center in the quad.
The events are being sponsored by all the Presidents – President Eloy Oakley, Trustee President Jeff Kellogg, ASB President LaTonya Neal and Academic Senate President Sigrid Sexton. Everyone has offered to attend and serve the food!Hot dogs, sodas and chips will be available for students from 11:30 am-1pm.
