Reorganization Forum Added at LAC, Tuesday September 30
An additional Campus Community Forum regarding the proposed reorganization (May 16 Reorganization Memo attached) is scheduled from 3 - 4 p.m. in the LAC Foundation Board Room. This forum is being conducted in an effort to provide a venue for Administration to fully explain the proposed realignments and to provide an opportunity for questions and receive input. Study Skills Workshops Begin October 6th at PCC Success Center
A series of study skills workshops will begin at the PCC Multidisciplinary Success Center on Monday, October 6th and run through the end of November.   The workshops are all one hour long and no sign up is necessary. Students should just arrive on time in the room listed on the flyer. For more information contact Emily Gehrman, Instructional Specialist at egehrman@lbcc.edu or ext. 4705.

Please Encourage Your Students to Apply for a Scholarship
The online scholarship application is now available for student to access at http://scholarships.lbcc.edu . Last year we awarded more than 700 scholarships. To apply, applicants must be a current LBCC student and have a 2.0 GPA or higher. Deadline to apply is Friday, December 5, 2008 at 5 p.m. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Alicia Kruizenga at ext. 4083.


Astronomy Open Houses Scheduled Monthly for Fall Semester
Professor Courtney Seligman will be presenting astronomy open houses again this fall. Open houses begin with a planetarium show in D326 at 7:30 pm, followed (weather permitting) by telescope viewing on the roof of the D building, starting around 8:40 pm. Open houses are scheduled for October 10, November 14, and December 5. Reservations are recommended for larger groups, but are not required, unless there are overflow crowds.
